The Atomic Backland 85 W is an extremely light and versatile women's specific ski for touring. Featuring our featherweight Ultra Light Woodcore, it' s light and comfortable on the ascent. The Carbon Backbone ensures even less weight: it runs through the ski from front to back like a backbone and gives it plenty of agility and reliable edge grip on the descent. There is also a special shape under the binding that makes the ascent easier, especially on long traverses. Thanks to All Mountain Rocker and HRZN Tech, the ski has great flotation in powder and ploughs confidently through crushed snow and crushed harsh snow with less deflection of the tip. Atomic's PreFit skins can be attached and removedquickly and easily thanks to the cut-out at the tip of the ski.

Carbon Backbone: An ultra-light carbon insert runs through the ski from front to back through the ski and stabilises it like a backbone. This improves edge grip and manoeuvrability and saves weight at the same time.
Ultra Light Woodcore: Poplar and Karuba woodcore for skis where every gram counts - like our touring skis.
Fibreglass: Thanks to continuous fibreglass layers, the ski is harmonious and stable to ski, while at the same time scoring points with its low weight and high dynamics.
