Thanks to the thin tube diameter, the Lite version weighs just 258 g. Just like its big brother, the Makalu Lite AS features the new Aergon Air. The latest generation of the grip specially designed for trekking has been further optimised in terms of comfort and control and improved in every detail. The developed cavity technology enables a combination of lightweight construction with large, supportive surfaces. The grip head is fully rubberised and offers maximum grip and control when going downhill. The inclined angle helps to optimise pole guidance and therefore makes a huge contribution to safety on the mountain.
