In our range you will find highly functional mid-layer hunting clothing that has been specially developed to meet the needs of modern hunters.
Our mid-layers are characterised by the following technical features:
- Fleece material: Our mid-layers are made from high-quality fleece, which is known for its excellent thermal insulation. Despite its light weight, fleece effectively retains body heat and therefore offers optimum warmth in cooler weather conditions.
- Low-noise fabrics: The use of specially developed low-noise materials is a key feature of our mid-layer clothing. These materials minimise the risk of startling game with the sound of movement and enable a virtually silent approach to the target.
- Stretch functionality: To ensure maximum freedom of movement, we integrate stretch materials into our mid-layers. This flexibility is essential for hunting as it allows the wearer to move freely and unhindered without the garment being restrictive or uncomfortable.
- Windstopper technology: Another important feature of our mid-layer hunting clothing is the use of windstopper technology. This layer effectively protects against windy conditions by keeping the wind out while maintaining high breathability. This keeps the body pleasantly warm and dry without overheating.
- First layer (base layer): The first layer, or base layer, has direct contact with the skin and is primarily responsible for moisture management. This layer should quickly absorb perspiration from the skin and release it to the outer layers to promote evaporation and keep the skin dry. Materials such as merino wool or highly functional synthetic fibres offer rapid moisture wicking, are breathable and, depending on the material composition, offer additional temperature-regulating properties.
- Mid-layer (insulating layer): The purpose of the mid-layer or insulating layer is to retain body heat and protect the wearer from the cold. Materials such as fleece, down or advanced synthetic insulating materials create thermal insulation by trapping air. This layer also often offers flexibility and freedom of movement through the use of stretch materials and in some cases features low-noise fabrics for hunting. Some mid-layers can also be windproof to provide further protection from cool breezes without compromising breathability.
- Top layer (outer layer): The outer layer, or top layer, provides protection from wind, rain and snow. This layer is usually waterproof or water-repellent and windproof, designed with robust materials that are also breathable to prevent condensation on the inside. Modern membrane technologies such as Gore-Tex offer effective protection from the elements, while excess heat and moisture are transported to the outside. In addition, these jackets or trousers are often equipped with sealed seams, water-repellent zips and customisable features such as hoods and ventilation openings to enable individual adaptation to the weather and activity.
